When placing an order with Gemini, it is helpful to have as much information pre-determined as possible. The following are some key considerations to keep in mind. Your Gemini customer service representative will help walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
Gemini plaques come in three main styles — cast, precision tooled and etched. Cast is the preferred option when exact duplicate quantities are desired. Precision tooled plaques typically provide crisper letter edges than cast. When very small text and a high level of detail are required, etching may be the best choice. Speciality processes, including laser engraving and giclée printing are also available.
Gemini uses only high quality, environmentally friendly metal alloys. Cast plaques are available in bronze and aluminum; precision tooled in brass, bronze and aluminum; etched in bronze, brass, copper and stainless steel; and engraved in aluminum and granite.
Depending upon style and material choice, plaques can be constructed up to a 96″ maximum dimension.
Plaque depths range from 1/16″ to 4″ depending upon style and material choice.
Whether your design requires raised or recessed text can help determine which plaque style is best for you. Cast plaques are ideal for raised text while precision tooling works equally well for either text option. Etching typically creates recessed text.
Natural or painted backgrounds, brushed or polished finishes, and a wide variety of textures and other special treatments provide creative options for your design.
Gemini offers a variety of blind stud, through-hole, decorative, post, stake and adhesive mounting options designed to fit your needs.
Braille is only available on precision tooled/wayfinding plaques.
